The door swung open, and I quickly shut my laptop and looked up. One of the problems that princess have (besides tiara and privacy) is queens or mothers. “What are you doing?” my mother asked me. “Nothing much, I said and picked up my Biology textbook and pretending to read something and hoping that my mother would ignore me so that I could get back to my unfinshed e-mail to the love of my life (ok maybe not but hey who knows what the future holds). “I was thinking we could send someone out to the video store,” she said and sat on my bed. “Your father has been delayed because there’s a terrible storm in Greece.” “Delayed. Wow,” I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes. “How shocking.” There was an awkward silence.

“I know you seldom see your father hunny but you have to understand as the King of the country, he have to do all he could to make friends with the other countries and to satisfy the citizens need,” my mother said defending my father. “Right. Of course. How could I forget that. The needs of the citizen and making friends,” I said. “Very important.”

“Your highness, Mr Bourne is here,” my maid, Camilla said. I nod my head and looked at my mother. “Can I not attend the class today mum. Please,” I pleaded and my mother shook her head. “Go and get changed. James is waiting for you. I’m going to be in my room,” she said and left my room.

I’m the one who supposed to give you Literature lesson while Mr Bourne, piano lesson,” he said and extended his hands. I shook his hands and said, “Er yeah great.” “So Mr Young…” “Please call me Will and how may I address you your highness?” he asked me politely. “Rachel,” I said and smile at him.

“So what are we going to learn today/” I asked him. “Let see what have you learnt?” he asked me and I tell him all the things that I’ve learnt. “I see your previous teacher have covered up almost all of Shakespears’ books. Impressive,” he said. “ I think we’re going to learn about each other a little bit more. I would like to know the real princess.” “Well ok,” I said with an uninterested voice. About an hour later, I walked out from the library and searched for my brother, Danny.

“Dan are you there?” I said and knocked on his door. “Yeah,” he whispered on opened the door for me. “Why are you whispering?” I asked him and he quickly pulled me into his room. “Today I have a meeting with that Lady Clare,” he said and slumped onto his bed. “No. Not that Lady Clare of Nitengly,” I said and he nod his head. “Then why are you whispering?” I asked him. “You don’t understand do you?” he asked me and I shook my head. “Let if I keep quiet in my room maybe just MAYBE I won’t have to meet her,” he said and smiled. “You know that it’s not going to happen right,” I said and he shrugged. Suddenly, we heard footstep heading towards Danny’s room.

“Your highnesses. Lady Clare is here,” Kara said. Danny sigh and nod his head. “Get out. I need to change,” he said and pushed Rachel out of his room. Rachel just laughed and walked back to her room. She sat on her bed and remembered that her later to her online lover is unfinished. “I’ll finish it later,” she said and close her eyes.

“Your highness,” she heard Camilla’s voice. She opened her eyes and saw Camilla tidying up her desk. “Dinner’s ready,” Camilla said. She looked at the time and as shocked that it was past 5. She must have drifted of to dreamland. She yawn and stretch her aching body. She got out of bed and went into the toilet. “Tell mum I’ll be down in 10,” she said.

After washing herself up, she changed into the clothes that Camilla had already lay out for her. She tied her hair into ponytail and make her way to the dining hall. “Glad you could join us,” her mother said and smiled. She gave her mother a weak smile and sat down. They looked at each other and then pray before eating.
